This blog was created right after the First Klinik-Batman: Lunsaran ng mga Batang Manunulat held at the Mini-Conference Room ng UPV-SWF, University of the Philippines in the Visayas, Iloilo City on August 29, 2007. Eleven young writers and four panelists participated in the workshop.
Four of the participants were: Afnan Omar Al-Abdalla, Sarby Kay Declaro, Ma. Marivic Pepino, Hazel Renacido, and Elsa Surmieda. The rest of the poets and that of the panelists will be posted here as soon as their names are available.
The main objective of this blog is to encourage the Pioneering Eleven Poets to continue writing poems and have their works published here so the panelists will comment on them.
The other objective is for the Pioneering Eleven Poets and the Panelists to continue their bonding.
Why Sustansya?
Sustansya means substance, one of the basic ingredients of an immortal poem.
This blog, being a virtual poetry writing workshop, hopes to extract and produce poems that will be remembered through the years.
